Garaventa Lift is a large international company specializing in the manufacturing of accessibility products and compact elevators. Today, Garaventa Lift employs over 175 people in the operation of a large manufacturing facility just south of Vancouver, British Columbia.
In 1974, this operation of Garaventa Lift focused on mountain aerial tramways - completing Vancouver's Grouse Mountain Super sky-ride in 1976. Recognizing a need for accessibility, the independent operation successfully diversified into the design and manufacture of accessibility products in 1978.
Today, Garaventa Lift is a world leader in the industry with a reputation for reliability, safety and innovation. With over 50,000 installations worldwide, including many creative solutions, Garaventa Lift has the experience to solve the most difficult challenges. Garaventa Lift has been awarded many large contracts such as the Korean Subway System , Santiago Metro and the Mexico City Metro.
Garaventa has manufacturing operations in Canada, China, Italy and Switzerland. We have retail contracting operations that perform sales, installation and service in these same countries as well as in the USA, Poland and the Czech Republic.

This Whistle-Blowing policy aims to support the values and the mission statement of the Garaventa Lift Group. The Garaventa Lift Group commits to behave ethically and with integrity in every situation. Directors, officers and employees are required to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities.
The Garaventa Lift Group has an open door policy and suggests that employees share their questions, concerns, suggestions or complaints with their supervisor or manager whenever possible.
In compliance with international laws, the Garaventa Lift Group has installed an independent position, to which suspected or observed misconduct of management and employees can be reported at any time. Such misconduct includes illegal and unethical behaviour or all kind of actions that are not considered as professional. Employees and external persons, such as customers, distributors, suppliers or partners are encouraged to report their concerns to the independent position so that the Garaventa Lift Group can address and correct inappropriate conduct and actions.
All concerns raised will be treated fairly and properly. Reports of violations or suspected violations will be kept confidential to the extent possible, consistent with the need to conduct an adequate investigation and compliance with external investigating authorities.
Anyone filing a written complaint concerning a violation or suspected violation must be acting in good faith and have reasonable grounds for believing the information disclosed indicates a violation. Retaliation against any employees or other persons for reports made in good faith is prohibited. Nevertheless, an intentionally false filed report of wrongdoing may have disciplinary as well as legal consequences.
